Ansal Institute of Technology (AIT) is located in Gurgaon, Sector 55 near the IFFCO chowk and the nearest metro is Sikandarpur. If commuting is what you are worried then there are autos ferrying people from the metro station at a nominal Rs 10-15 (as of May 2012, it will soon rise seeing the current inflation).

Infrastructure:

Ansal Institute of Technology (AIT) was started by the Ansal group and that will give you a fair idea of its infrastructure. To elaborate more, the college is spread over a whooping 100 acre (yes it is no typing mistake). They have 1 cricket ground, 2 tennis grounds, and 2 basketball courts. They campus is Wi-Fi enabled, classrooms are air-conditioned, and this becomes a great relief during the summers. You can expect all kinds of amenities here, almost equivalent to what the huge complexes in Gurgaon have. Infrastructure is something which uniquely distinguishes this institute from the other IPU institutes.

Faculty:

The Engineering faculty is new and definitely not able to match its infra. Each year the students hope that they'll get better teachers and although improvements have been observed, the rate is pretty slow. Other courses nearly follow the same trend.

Attendance:

Attendance is dealt with very strictly at Ansal Institute of Technology (AIT). A minimum of 80% attendance is required. If you fall way below the requirement then you get a lot more time to prepare for exams since they'll be barring you from appearing for them. If you think you can get away with proxies then beware, the college has gone hi-tech and has provided students with an access card which you only you can use to mark yourself present.

Crowd:

Ansal, Gurgaon & High fees; all this implies that the crowd here is really rich. Most of the students are kids of VIPs. You are likely to hear "tu jaanta nahi main kaun hoon" more often here. Snobbish behaviour is seen among the students here. Academics is often neglected by some super-rich kids but then the lesser mortals studying here are sincere.
There have been many instances that a students lifestyle and standard of living changes when he comes here. One of the student was also quoted saying "Yahan crowd apne aap achcha ho jaata hai". The college is also famous for some of its students participating in some of the so called reality TV shows. Don't be surprised if a student is buzzed when he is in college, the crowd is such.

Hangouts:

Ansal Institute of Technology (AIT) has a plethora of places to hang around. The students don't have to go to a same place for celebrating birthdays! Gurgaon the mall capital of India has a lot of places to offer to people. The malls do form a regular hanging out place but there many other places like the Mocha, Galleria market, Central place to name a few. There are a lot more place to hang around at MG Road. Now for people who are broke or otherwise can always visit the Bihari stall and the Korean van. In short there a re just a lot of places around if don't plan to attend and chill.

Canteen:

This isn't a regular college where you find those canteens where the contract is given to some caterers! It's packed with branded canteens to satiate the hunger of the rich. Bikano, CCD, Nescafe, Cadbury ice-cream parlour are some the outlets. Don't be surprised if you find some more brands with their stalls. In case you find them expensive you can always rely on the 'Bihari stall'.

Festivals:

Ansal Institute of Technology (AIT), Gurgaon hosts something called a "Platform Series", where eminent personalities from different backgrounds visit the college and have informal discussions with the students.

The University boasts of a sprawling 14-acre wi-fi-enabled well-maintained, green campus. Besides well-lit, well-ventilated and fully-equipped lecture theaters and classrooms, the University has state-of-the-art computer and other laboratories, language labs, hotel management labs, a modern networked library, round-the-clock high-speed Internet access through a leased line, video conferencing facilities, a sports complex, a well-laid amphitheater for cultural and other events, on-campus lockers, on-campus housing for boys and girls, a fleet of buses to cover transportation from major parts of Delhi, Gurgaon and Faridabad, a cafeteria, snack bars, kiosks, Coffee day express, Baker House cafe and other recreational facilities on the campus to enrich the overall educational experience of a student.
